Terry's animal welfare client, Pet Pantry, has just expanded its reach and purchased a second location due to demand. But the demand can't be met until they raise the final $500,000 to purchase equipment and hire veterinary staff.
The demand is greater than ever. Pet Pantry's animal intake has increased 78% over last year. 78%!
What does that mean?
It means that more families are struggling to care for their children and their pets.
It means that when families become unhoused, they often cannot take their pet with them to a temporary location and must surrender them to a shelter (while some, unfortunately, just abandon them).
Pet Pantry is a highly respected animal welfare organization that offers pet food assistance, affordable veterinary services, TNR programs, and dog and cat rescues and adoptions.
Named the Dena M. & Samuel N. Lombardo Animal Rescue & Surgery Center, this facility was built to quadruple the number of low-cost spay and neuter surgeries offered to the community, and its dog adoption center on the ground floor has already doubled past-year adoption records since opening in April 2026.
With financial strain affecting many in our community, Pet Pantry's cost-saving vet care and safe surrender options are needed now more than ever. And this new facility enables Pet Pantry to save dogs desperately waiting for rescue and helps heal community cats facing disease and over-population.
